My summer holiday memories charms

My summer holiday memory charms - a sandcastle, fab ice lolly, a stick of rock, a 99' and a bucket and spade.

'were all going on a summer holiday'

This is a wee charm bracelet Ive made for my daughter (4). It is for the MSE challenge set by Giggles Fairy. The theme was 'Were all going on a summer holiday'. My summer holidays were always at the beach with my parents, friends and grandparents. I always remember ice cream, sticks of rock and ice lollies.

Orchid

I made this pendant last night. I was just messing about with some colours, I like the way the silver and pink ended up looking a bit like and orchid. The silver and purple are all sparkly. I have threaded it onto 3 strand waxed white cord.

Hamburger and hotdog charms.

Dolls house food for DD

I made these loaves of bread and bakewell tart for DD's dolls house. She saw the hamburger charms and asked if I could make her some for her dolls to eat.

The veggie patch is ready.

Been busy this afternoon. It is lovely and sunny here today, so after hanging out some washing I decided today is the day for getting the veggie patch ready. Ive spent the last few hours in the spring sun digging over, weeding, raking and cleaning out pots all ready. My tatties have bean chitting on the windowsill for the last week so when they are ready I can get them in.

Ive changed a few things round this year. We had to take our poly greenhouse down as it was ruined in the highwinds. So this year ill be growing tatties in the ground and beetroot, carrots, spring onions, butternut squash all in tubs. I will have a go at tumbling toms in a hanging basket. Ill be growing lettuce and herbs all in containers too. Im sure ill add more as I go along. Ill stay clear of brassicas as nothing really worked last year as the slugs were everywhere.
I feel ive been productive. This is my favourite bit. When the ground is all ready and promises things to come.
